The University of Central Florida needed more than a proposal, it needed a story capable of moving an entire state. Securing approval for a new College of Medicine required building a narrative that could unify community stakeholders, compel state leadership, and make the case for an institution that did not yet exist.
Developed the core story architecture, key messages, and delivery strategy used to communicate the vision and long-term impact of the proposed College of Medicine to the State of Florida Board of Governors. Critically, the economic impact research developed by leading economists was not presented as data. It was woven into a compelling narrative that made the numbers matter. Every stakeholder, every media touchpoint, and every voice in the room was speaking from the same story, one that translated financial projections into a vision the State could believe in and vote yes to.
The UCF College of Medicine passed with a unanimous vote from the Board of Governors and helped support efforts that contributed to securing $300 million in state funding, while creating a lasting institutional identity that continues to define the college today.
